St Martin's Lodge Sign up for the Hoteliers' Charter

St Martins Lodge has become the first hotel in Leicester to sign up to The Hoteliers’ Charter, an initiative designed to raise the profile of the hotel industry in the public arena.

The Hoteliers’ Charter was drawn up in 2020 to raise the profile of the hospitality industry and promote hospitality as a profession of choice to parents, schools, colleges, universities and careers influencers.

Located in the heart of the historic Cathedral Area in the City of Leicester, St Martins Lodge offers 28 luxury bedrooms within a fully renovated Grade ll Listed building.

The Hoteliers’ Charter has already secured the support of industry bodies, The Master Innholders, UKHospitality, St Julian’s Scholars and The Institute of Hospitality along with many hotel general managers.

The Charter is designed to raise the profile of the industry, advocating working in hotels as a great career choice. The Charter Hoteliers’ role is to encourage employment from their locality into the wider hospitality industry, primarily through hotels.

Nigel Jobson, Business Director at St Martins Lodge, said “We are proud to be an approved member of The Hoteliers’ Charter and spread the good word of our industry, to educate both parents and youngsters about the benefits of attending a catering or hospitality college. By working with a Charter Hotelier such as ourselves, they can benefit from a good work life balance, training, mentoring and apprenticeships.”
