St Martins Lodge to Partner with Hotels for Trees
St Martins Lodge has launched a new sustainability initiative in partnership with The Hotels for Trees Foundation.
The Hotels for Trees Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to create a more sustainable hotel industry by planting trees. Through this initiative, for every guest who chooses to skip their daily room cleaning, a new tree will be planted.
This enables guests to make greener choices and compensates a part of the CO2 impact of their journey, which can be seen on the Hotels for Trees website from the very next day.
Nigel Jobson, Business Director of St Martins Lodge said “we are committed to sustainable practices and are excited about taking this next step in contributing to a greener planet. Now, our guests can reduce their environmental impact while also contributing to a more sustainable future.”
Hotels for Trees aims to make the hotel industry more sustainable by converting room cleaning cost savings into newly planted trees. Their goal is to expand their operation across the globe in the years to come, whereby they aim to plant at least 1 million trees per year as of 2025, together with their partners.
